Xbox’s lead engineer, Mike Ybarra, spoke out about the companies upcoming update. That said, he did so in the vaguest manner possible.

Thanks for that Mike, I’m glad to know it’s coming “soon”.
The update, like all it’s predecessors, will be made available to Preview program members before being set out into the public. Though the details of what is to be included in this package have been kept extremely under wraps. The developers over at Microsoft are not sharing any specifics about what is changing or being added to the upcoming update.
Like all preview builds, not all features will be in the first build we send out. #Xbox

It’s important to note though, for you Preview version members, that not all functions or features will be included in the Preview version. The previews main purpose is to gain feedback before the wide release to public.
The list of expected abilities for the upcoming update include Xbox Ones being able to act as development kits, as well as background music and support by the Cortana system.
More news is sure to be annouced at Xbox One’s E3 platform later this month.
