Ubisoft Holding Their Own Showcase

Normally around this time of year, we as a gaming group would know about all the upcoming titles to be expecting in the new year. However, with everything shut down due to the COVID pandemic, that isn’t the case. That said, Ubisoft has come up with its own showcase to make up for the E3 cancellation back in March. An idea that I’m sure many other companies will emulate – though Nintendo has been doing their own thing for ages.

This was announced by Ubisoft today in a news release, calling the event ‘Ubisoft Forward’. The company had this to say in regards to the upcoming event: “With physical gaming shows around the world postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ubisoft will be hosting its first digital conference, called Ubisoft Forward, on July 12 at 12 PM PDT/9PM CEST…Get ready for an E3-style showcase with plenty of exclusive game news, exciting reveals, and much more.”

No real details have been provided in regards to what will be revealed in July, though it’s likely they will bring up delayed games such as Watch Dogs: Legion, Gods and Monsters, and upcoming title Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. That said, I’m hoping for some new exciting releases to look forward to as I’m slightly over the Assassin’s Creed franchise as a whole.
