For those of you who are Star Wars fan’s, and were hoping for a gift in the month of May, than let us say “May the 4th” be with you. What this means, for those of you still not in the know, is that two old Star Wars titles will be making their way to Xbox’s Newest console.

The_Force_UnleashedTwo chances to throw down with the force once more.

In a tweet by Xbox’s Larry Hryb, a director of programming over at Microsoft, we were told that both “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed” and “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II” have been slotted into the backwards compatible list of the next gen console.

To anyone who doesn’t remember, both these titles were a pretty fun play through when initially released. Both offering a third person action adventure, all of which takes place in a world that possesses not only light saber battles, but force wielding opponents as well.

To any child who grew up running around the playground having lightsaber battles?

These games are for you.

With an ever growing backwards compatibility list, Xbox seems to be taking the lead in allowing gamers the ability and comfort of playing their old fan favourites. Which in turn is leaving this writer wondering what Sony plans to do too combat their ever forward march.
