Have you ever wanted a cat-bird-dog Pokemon that doesn’t actually listen to you and that you need to convince to do things for you? Charizard is most of those things, but part cat he is not! But you know who is? TRICO! Your new, loveable pet in The Last Guardian, a PS4 exclusive title.
How do you get yourself in these situations?!
So what’s it about? You’re on the run from baddies, and so is Trico. So, you have to team up (and be the brains of the operation) to figure out ways to get Trico to get you to where you need to go. That being said, this game is puzzle-based, but also an action-adventure. So get your thinking caps on! You now have a living creature with you that needs to be fed and taken care of in order to progress, BE RESPONSIBLE.
I swear I‘ll give you indigestion if you eat me.
If you check out the E3 trailer (which you should), you’ll notice that Japan Studio developed a beautiful scenery (scenes reminiscent of Demon Souls and Bloodborne) but it’s the music that changes the way the environment is perceived. Stylistically and thematically, The Last Guardian will be similar to Shadow of the Colossus and Ico, both of which were also under the direction of Fumito Ueda. Also, it’s freakin’ nerve-wracking because the boy you play as almost dies every 5 seconds.
