Back in the 1980’s I had my Commodore 64 and one of the games that I got for Christmas was a game called Wasteland. This RPG was not like the rest of the traditional ones out there as it took place is a post apocalyptic wasteland. Years later a spiritual successor to Wasteland arrived and it was called Fallout. While the first two games were pretty amazing they also had their shortcomings as the isometric 3D view left a lot to be desired. When Fallout 3 was announced I was excited as the game moved into the FPS genre where you could be immersed in the action. Every game after that built upon the last and with Fallout 4 we were able to create settlements, establish trade routes and gain favor or incur the wrath of various factions.

Now the folks over at Bethesda have dropped a teaser trailer for Fallout 76.

And it looks simply amazing.

Starting out right off the bat we see that this is not an ordinary trailer. The “Please stand by” screen was usually in B&W but now it’s in color! As we zoom in on a radio of some kind the song Country Road starts up and we get a view of a vault. There are some things to take note of such as there’s a poster celebrating from 1776 to 2076. We are treated to other shots of the vault showing off a color television, a newer computer and a giant atrium revealing tons of balloons and decorations as a banner proclaims it’s “Reclamation Day”. We then are shown a shot of the back of the main character wearing a vault jumpsuit with a gold 76 on the back and a fancy looking pip boy. Finally we hear a voice saying “In Vault 76 our future begins”.

E3 is not far off so what do you think of this new Fallout game? Let us know!
