When Spider-Man: Homecoming was released in the theaters some people had doubts that this incarnation of Spider-Man would hit the mark. However, as soon as I settled into my chair at the theater and the movie started up I knew it was going to be something special. But I always wondered what was next for the wall crawler and we had recently got an answer as Sony has dropped the next trailer in the Spider-Man universe called Spiderman: Far From Home.
Spider-Man: Far From Home takes place after the events of the first movie as in the beginning we see Aunt May standing on stage with Spiderman for a fundraising event. This is eclipsed by an upcoming school trip that Peter is going to take to Europe. As we see Peter running around trying to get ready for his trip Aunt May asks him if he has packed his “suit”. And Peter responds that Europe doesn’t really need a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Things seem to be going normally…that is until Nick Fury shows up and throws a wrench in the works. He is in need of Spider-Man’s help and we see some destruction across Europe by someone that looks a lot like Hydro Man as he is going up against some other elementals (one made of fire and another made of wind). And the trailer closes out with Mysterio showing up (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) as he battles one of the elementals! Find out more when the movie appears in theaters on July 5th!
All in all 2019 is shaping up to be an amazing year for Marvel as we have Captain Marvel, Avengers: End Game and NOW Spider-Man: Far From Home! What movie are you most excited to see? Let us know by commenting below!
