Slashy Souls, The 16bit Dark Souls Game

Video game fans of the Dark Souls series can now play something else while they wait for Dark Souls 3 release in April. The game is called Slashy Souls, and is a role playing spin off only avaliable on mobile devices. While Bandai Namco, the creators of the game, have stated that it is not directly related to Dark Souls one can obviously see the inspiration derived from the series.
Dark Souls was made by From Software and is one of the most gruelling RPG games out on the market. The core of the game relies on players exploring a fantasy world that is unforgiving in its game play, and is often the reason many fan’s love it. You must not only be aware of your environment, but you must display a patience and understanding of tactics that most games lack due to their run and gun or hack and slash type of playing.
Slashy Souls follows the same theme except that it remains a 16 bit graphics game, and the style plays as an endless runner as oppose to a free roam scenario, much like “Temple Run”. That said, the gameplay has to differ to match this style of play, but it most assuredly feels as hard as it’s spiritual predecessor Dark Souls.
While definitely not the type of game for those of you who hate losing repeatedly, and wish to not throw your phone out of frustration, it still remains fun in nature. So give it a whirl if your ready for the madness.
