The Terror 104 – Punished, As A Boy
Last week’s episode of The Terror came to a horrific end as something claimed the life of Sir John Franklin along with another crew member. Their jaws were completely ripped out of the socket and their necks were broken leaving the crew in complete and utter terror. Later on something appeared at the entrance of Lady Silence’s igloo but what this thing is we have no idea.
Punished, As A Boy starts out with Sir John Franklin’s wife appealing to the HMS to set out on another expedition in order to save the crew of both the Erebus and the Terror. Her words are placated by them and they are told that if they are not heard from by 1850 another search party will go out and find them. This wouldn’t be a problem however, it is only now 1847 and can the crew actually last another three years?
Meanwhile back on the Terror a party is being held for two of the crew as it is their birthday and they are getting haircuts by the crew. Everyone seems to be in good spirits as they sing songs and Francis Crozier is contemplating moving some of the stores to the Erebus. However, all the calm is abruptly shattered as one of the crew limps aboard the Terror. This man is bloodied with a deep laceration showing off the brain in his skull. People are saying that this thing is on the ship but who’s to say?
Francis sets upon the ice with a boy from the Terror and at first he doesn’t want him to come with him. However, he relents as they are on the ice and the only thing that is out there are these two men under the skies of the Aurora Borealis. Francis looks to be hunting the animal as he climbs a ridge and comes back down to find just a bloody smear. And as quick as a whisper the boy is whisked off with only a bloody patch of snow left behind.
Will the crew of the Terror and Erebus be able to find out what is hunting them out on the ice? Or will they succumb to an enemy that only Lady Silence seems to know about?
