Everything else may be slowing down, but it looks like Sony isn’t letting the world pandemic stop their upcoming consoles production. The gaming giant has stated that the PlayStation 5 is still on the rails for its 2020 holiday launch.
In a financial statement release, released by Sony, it is stated that: “Regarding the launch of PlayStation 5, although factors such as employees working from home and restrictions on international travel have presented some challenges in regards to part of the testing process and the qualification of production lines, development is progressing with the launch of the console scheduled for the 2020 holiday season…At this point in time, major problems have not arisen in the game software development pipeline for Sony’s own first-party studios or its partners’ studios.”
In plainer terms, everything is seemingly good to go, with both the hardware and upcoming launch games. That said, I’m a happy camper as a big Playstation fanboy. Being stuck inside with only my old games is slowly driving me crazy, and my new stock of games is slowly running out.
Hurry Sony, Hurry!
