No Man’s Sky Delayed

There it is again, a pesky word that many gamers have heard time and time again.
Delay.
Yet another game is delayed for us this summer season, making us play the waiting game once more for another blockbuster hit. The publishers over at Sony have just confirmed, after more than a little ribbing and prodding by the writers over at Kotaku, that their newest title No Man’s Sky will be delayed until August.

The director of the upcoming hit, Sean Murray, wrote on the PlayStation Blog early Friday evening. He had this to say on the matter: “As we approached our final deadlines, we realized that some key moments needed extra polish to bring them up to our standards…I have had to make the tough choice to delay the game for a few weeks to allow us to deliver something special.”
This, for those of you not hip with big corporation talk, means that they just haven’t finished the game yet. Which is an utter disappointment if you consider the hype being placed upon this games upcoming release.
We can only hope that the final release of the game will be worth the delayed wait, because I’m itching for the stars.
