We live in an age of technology where we are surrounded by it on a daily basis. You have computers at home, work and even in your car and they can help you perform tasks or keep you entertained on those long commutes. But what if technology had gone too far and wanted to be something more? What would you do if this technology could bring back someone you lost? These are the questions posed to us by a new techno-thriller called Ami released by Industryworks.
Ami follows Cassie a typical high school girl that’s trying to pick up the pieces after her mother has died in a car accident. As she is trying to cope with her loss one of her friends decides to try and give her a program called Ami to help her through this difficult time in her life. This personal assistant takes a turn for the worse as she is able to customize it to have the voice of her deceased mother. Cassie even goes on to say that Ami sounds like her mother and asks if she wants to call her that. From there the movie takes a dark turn as you can hear Ami guiding Cassie’s hand as she tries to murder her cheating boyfriend.
