Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Delayed
Author: S.A.

The release of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, the next installment in the Mirror’s Edge series, has been delayed by another two weeks. The developers over at DICE had this disappointing news to drop on us earlier last week.

The original release date was set to be May 24 and 26 in two different regions respectively. The new due date is June 7 and June 9 in both North America and Europe. It’s due to the game’s social features such as creating time trials, leader boards and so on that this delay has occurred. The developers over at DICE are using this extra time to make adjustments on the feedback they will receive from the closed beta that will be running this month.

2189_mirror_s_edge_23This was the information given to us by the DICE development team: “We also want to make sure we have the opportunity and time to address player feedback from the Closed Beta…That is why we will give ourselves a bit more time to perfect the game, with a new release date for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst of June 7th (NA) and June 9th (EU). We’re confident that these extra two weeks will make sure the game is as amazing as possible for you the players.”

The beta is set to kick off on April 22, registration was open very briefly earlier this month but was closed in less than an hour.

So don’t feel to bad that you missed out.

That said, it’s just two extra weeks – barring any sudden changes of heart on DICES part.
