Last of Us Two Teaser
Author: S.A.
Recently the developers over at Naughty Dog pulled the curtain down on its most successful franchise, Uncharted.
Sadness at its final chapter can’t be helped, but the game itself was nothing short of fantastic.
However mixed in-between the sadness and longing for a new Uncharted game laid a few easter eggs for those of us willing to explore the expansive world that Naughty Dog has provided for us. That said, one certain easter egg seems to have gamers everywhere in an uproar, and has me slightly excited at its possibilities.
The secret easter egg focuses on the possibility of a sequel to The Last Of Us 2.
This is new that fans, myself included, have been hoping for since the launch of the critically acclaimed master piece in 2013. While no official word has been given by the developers at Naughty dog, the epilogue of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End had this to show us in terms of spoilers:
As you can see, the photo depicted just a little bit into the gameplay of that chapter shows what can be viewed as a grown up Ellie from the previous Last of Us game. An Ellie that appears to be pregnant. The title on the picture, The Last of Us: American Daughters, seems to support the hypothesis that children will hold a strong theme within the next installment of the game.
Let it be said though that this is all speculation on both our parts, and the thousands of fans that Naughty Dog has managed to gain. Whether any of these facts are actually true remains to be seen. However what can be ascertain from this is that Naughty Dog has serious plans on continuing their next box office hit. Though this was likely their plan from the beginning. With the end of one of their biggest successful franchises, Naughty Dog was likely to continue on with The Last of Us due to its huge success upon its initial release.
So while the gaming company has closed the book on Nathan Drakes adventures, they have potentially opened them for Ellie and Joel once more.
And Nathan Drakes Daughter.
