The gang is back in town, or in this case, worlds. The Kingdom Hearts crew is making a reappearance on next gen consoles in its third RPG adventure. That said, not much is known about the new adventure. While it was heavily hinted at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2 that this journey would focus on rescuing our lost heroes Ventus, Aqua, and Terra, who were featured in the PSP game Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, no confirmation has been made yet.Kingdom_Hearts_3

Sora never gets any time off. Another friend to save!

The trailer released at this years E3 seems to continue in this vein, citing a story about some sort of Keyblade war. The story part of the game aside, it seems like the graphics have taken a huge hike up due to the port to a next gen system. The very battles Sora seems to be getting into are so beautiful that I will likely spend hours grinding through the game just to keep watching them.

Kingdom-Hearts-III-5Here comes the heartless, and Sora’s more than ready.

Their has been no confirmation on what worlds we will be able to visit as of yet, only that Destiny Island and Twilight Town will be making a reappearance. We also know that our favourite trio will be fighting back to back once more, as the trailer features Donald and Goofy throwing themselves once more into the fray.

A lot of unknown factors are coming with this new game, with a hole host of new abilities seemingly at our disposal and a brand new story. Personally as a gamer, and as a fan who has been playing Kingdom Hearts since its first game, I can’t wait to see what they do with it. I suggest you keep your eyes peeled for the game readers, and even revisit some of the older ones if you’ve never had a chance to play them. Don’t let the Disney theme fool you, it’s a game that pulls you in and makes you want to see it through to the end. With memorable characters, and old childhood favourites, its a must have game for those who of us who have never truly grown up.
