It wasn’t too long after the 7.20 update on Fornite that players noticed a sphere of ice suspended above the Polar Peak. Obviously, the new addition led to players wondering what was going to occur for Season 8, as winter was obviously on its way full blast.
They didn’t have to wait long, as the sphere opened up to reveal the Ice King – a being that has covered the Fornite world in an ice storm and started the newest event for the hugely popular game.

As you can see from the video footage above, the ice sphere exploded outward and a new blizzard came barreling through Fornite island. However, it wasn’t just ice and snow that arrived out of the orb. As much like the monsters brought to us during the October event, zombie-like monsters are now all over the island as well.
On top of familiar monsters, the event is rolling out new sets of objectives that will reward you with XP as you clear them. If you clear six objectives, you will unlock a black and ice blue warp while finishing all thirteen will get you the Winter’s Thorn Glider.
