So…I’m hunting dinosaurs?
The upcoming title by Guerrilla Games, the developers who brought us Killzone, is an action role playing game that will likely keep you on the edge of your seat as you hunt the giant behemoths that roam the land. In Horizon Zero Dawn players will take control of Aloy, a modern day hunter and archer, and use her to navigate this post-apocalyptic wonderland that is now ruled by these mechanized monsters. All of which strongly resemble dinosaurs.
So I’m going to fight that? Yeah…Ok.
The game is set 1000 years in the future from the current date, and civilization has become non existent. During this time frame these giant versatile transformers have become the strongest creatures on the planet, and completely dominate the remaining portion of the human race. Normally one would think to avoid these creatures to heighten their chances at survival. Nope, can’t do that sorry guys. It seems that the components that these creatures run on, or are composed of, are vital to current day survivors. Whether that be electricity or the very metal that makes up their frame, so you must hunt them down. Fantastic.
Kill it, Kill it. Fasttttttter.
You’re going to have to use a variety of ways to kill these monsters, because let’s be honest, the frontal approach will likely make you floor paste. So get use to shooting enemies from afar, setting up tripwires in combination with explosives, and even silent takedowns. Than if all else fails, use melee combat. I’m sure you’ll enjoy that. When you successfully kill these monsters, you can use their remains to craft new items to help in killing more of their brethren. The world itself is suppose to be massive, and non linear, so be prepared to explore your surroundings when not completing missions. With a day and night system in place, you’ll get to see the environment in many beautifully illustrated ways, so explore guys. Always be prepared to be dino food though, I can’t really stress that enough.
