Paul Rapovski, Executive Producer of Lost Girl, Acquires Rights to Pixie Trix Comix Catalogue for Live-Action and Animated Adaptations

Hollywood meets indie comics as fan-favorite stories head to the screen

Paul Rapovski, Stunt Coordinator turned Producer behind the hit series Lost Girl, has secured the rights to adapt the bold, boundary-pushing comics of Gisèle Lagacé (Ménage à 3) and her Pixie Trix Comix library. The collaboration marks a game-changing move for both the TV and comic book worlds, blending the gritty, captivating energy of indie comics with the high production value of film and TV.

Founded in 2008 by Lagacé and writer David Lumsdon, Pixie Trix Comix is home to fan-favorite titles like Eerie Cuties, Magick Chicks, Sandra On The Rocks, Sticky Dilly Buns, and Ultraluminals. Known for its dynamic, NSFW storytelling, and memorable characters – the Pixie Trix universe explores a variety of genres, all tied together by their sharp wit, daring plots, and strong, empowered women. This partnership promises to bring both live-action and animated adaptations to life, propelling Lagacé’s vibrant, diverse comic worlds to wider audiences.

“I’ve admired Gisèle’s bold storytelling and her array of unforgettable characters for years,” said Rapovski. “She brings something fresh and exciting to the table, much like when I first teamed up with Jay Firestone to develop Lost Girl. Her characters are strong, alluring, and impossible to forget — perfect for the kind of storytelling that captivates audiences both on and off the page. I see limitless potential in turning these beloved comics into equally engaging series or films.”

Paul Rapovski

Rapovski’s reputation for creating groundbreaking genre television makes him the perfect partner to bring Pixie Trix Comix’s unique blend of edgy humor, supernatural adventures, and quirky romance to the screen. From the NSFW cult hit Ménage à 3 to ensemble-driven tales like Eerie Cuties and Magick Chicks, the catalog’s diversity lends itself to various formats, both live-action and animated.

Gisèle Lagacé

Lagacé, a longtime indie comic creator known for working outside the traditional comic system, sees this collaboration as the perfect match. “Paul gets it. He’s a creator and a doer, someone who’s not afraid to take risks — just like me,” said Lagacé. “I didn’t hand over my characters lightly. I’m going to be involved every step of the way, from casting to scriptwriting and beyond. This partnership is about doing it right and staying true to what made these comics resonate with fans in the first place, while bringing new ones to the fold.”

The first adaptation project is already in the works, and fans can expect an official announcement soon. With Rapovski’s vision and Lagacé’s creative involvement, the Pixie Trix Comix universe is about to leap off the page and into a new era of storytelling.
