For fan’s of the Gears of War series good news is incoming. That news revolves around the fact that the fourth edition to one of Microsoft’s longest running series will be dropping some time this year.
So, much like the Halo series, Gears of War won’t say die.
The story this time around hasn’t been revealed in full, but as we can see it takes place far into the future of the previous game. It focuses on our previous protagonists son, JD Fenix. With a new enemy at the fore front of humanity, it will take courage like no other to step up against the new swarm.
That said, why Microsoft is continuing the Gears of War series is beyond me. That isn’t to say that they have reached extreme success with the FPS giant. However, I feel that the game has played it’s part in the console wars and that Microsoft should be concentrating on new endeavours. It seems that many games these days are being pushed past their expiry dates.
It’s almost enough to drive a gamer crazy with the repetitive nature of the gameplay.
