YEAR OF FUN-FILLED FANDOM
TORONTO, September 16, 2015 – FAN EXPO CANADA™ 2015, the largest of its kind in Canada, wrapped its 21st edition with over 128,000 in attendance. The four-day pop culture extravaganza welcomed fans to geek out over comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming and many other attractions offered.
This year’s show was packed with exciting family-friendly activities and celebrity guests including Gillian Anderson (The X-Files), Rupert Grint (Harry Potter films), Mike Tyson (Heavyweight Champion of the World), Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Jason Momoa (Batman v. Superman) and more.

HOGWARTS REUNION: AN EVENING WITH THE STARS OF HARRY POTTER
In his first ever convention appearance, Rupert Grint took the stage with fellow Harry Potter stars Tom Felton and the Phelps twins for a night of magic and mischief at FAN EXPO CANADA™! The stars of the popular film franchise shared behind-the-scenes stories with thousands of fans in a rare cast (and class!) reunion.
STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS GLOBAL TOY UNBOXING EVENT
In the world’s first ever global live toy unboxing event, products from Star Wars: The Force Awakens were unveiled on Thursday, September 3 at FAN EXPO CANADA™! Unfolding over 18 hours in 15 cities and 12 countries, the event showed highlights from the range of epic merchandise released worldwide on “Force Friday”, September 4th.
BREAKFAST WITH THE STARS
FAN EXPO CANADA™ hosted Breakfast with the Stars, a special event in support of SickKids. Fans enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the InterContinental Toronto Centre, where celebrity guests shared behind-the-scenes anecdotes about their work on fan-favourite TV shows and movies. Special guests included Chandler Riggs, Jeri Ryan, James & Oliver Phelps, Graham McTavish, Robin Lord Taylor, Tom Kenny, Tara Strong, and Mads Mikkelsen! This unforgettable event raised over $30,000 for SickKids Hospital!
SPECIAL EVENT: AN EVENING WITH THE DOCTOR’S COMPANIONS
Whovians flocked to attend a special evening presentation from Doctor Who stars Karen Gillan and Jenna Coleman! The pair shared tales from the TARDIS with the audience hanging on to their every word in this intimate and interactive event.
VOICE ACTOR LIVE SCRIPT READING: BACK TO THE FUTURE
Top voice actors Jeremy Shada, Tom Kenny, Phil Lamarr, Grey Delisle, Jess Harnell and Nolan North performed a LIVE script reading of the Hollywood Blockbuster – BACK TO THE FUTURE! This hilarious re-telling of a classic brought the house down as the actors used their huge list of cartoon characters to breathe new life into some legendary characters.
