The Playstation was one of my first consoles that I actually bought on my own. I had owned every generation of Playstation up until the last one (Playstation 4) because I simply don’t have the funds to get one (However, if Sony wants to ever hook me up.. Hint.. hint.. 🙂 Anyway, the games on the Playstation look amazing so let’s see what they have in store for us at this year’s E3!

After showing off where this conference takes place in a giant tent in the city of Los Angeles we were treated to some banjo playing. This leads into the first trailer from Naughty Dog and this game looks simply breathtaking. While the game starts off happy it takes a dark turn as it shows the main character Ellie now in a lead role. What happened to her? This will all be revealed in The Last of Us Part 2 which still does not have a release date.

They also had an announcement where you can get a firing range as well as other maps for Black Ops 3 when you pre-order Black Ops 4 for the PS4. This is the Back in Black map pack and it will bring some new maps for you to enjoy in your current game while you wait for Black Ops 4. Next we were treated to some flute playing for a game set in feudal Japan as we see what Ghosts of Tsushima has in store for us. The game looks absolutely breathtaking as you will travel along the lands of the far east and battle warriors in savage blade combat.

Another game we got a look at was one where you played as a female who has the ability to move objects with her mind. It looks as if you would be fighting in dream environments as well as the real world dealing with enemies who want to eliminate you. This is the premise of Control a new game coming to the PS4 from Remedy & 505 games in 2019. Next we were treated to a trailer that looked like it was all over the place until the end which set up for a great reveal. Get ready folks as a remaster of Resident Evil 2 is coming to the Playstation 4! Next we got an action platform game that was developed from the minds that gave us the Rick and Morty cartoon series. Bathroom Guy took us through this great game and showed us what it is like to play Trover Saves the Universe.

Next we were treated to some great Kingdom Hearts 3 gameplay and it looks like we are going back to the Pirates of the Caribbean universe! It also showed off some of the other worlds you can play, the games you can get when you order the all in one package and you will get remastered versions of previous games in this series. After that we got an amazing trailer for Death Stranding and this game looks to be one of those games that you will have to play for yourself to experience the full effect. The next trailer was from Team Ninja and I was shocked as I had not heard anything about this game. It looks like a fast paced fighting game as you will carve your way through legions of enemies in Nioh 2.

The Spiderman game that is in the works for the PS4 looks absolutely stunning and if you are a fan of the webhead you will need to check this out. It shows some amazing gameplay and you will go head to head from various thugs to superpowered villains.

And that was the last game of the lineup! Granted they showed off more footage from each game but the lineup could have used more games. What do you think? You can watch the Sony E3 show here to check it out for yourself but we’d love to hear your thoughts as well!
