When the Microsoft E3 Briefing coverage started we had a trailer for a game that I had no idea what it was and it turns out it is for a game called Halo Infinite. However, we have NO idea at this point in time what it is.
The next game that was up was a cartoon platformer that looks breathtaking! You will face a myriad of enemies in various environments. This is the Realm of Ori and the Will of the Wisps and I want to check this out.
Next game looks as if it is set in feudal Japan and its released through Software and Activision. It shows off a samurai who has lost a limb but has it replaced with an artificial one as he battles various enemies ranging from giant swordsman to other swordsmen and horrific creatures. The action looks fast paced and amazing as you will play as Sekiro shadows die twice.
One of the things I love about this briefing is they go into game after game with minimal delay. The next guest is the head of Bethesda who is talking about the Fallout franchise as Fallout 4 to Gamepass as well as an exclusive look at Fallout 76! And it is a PREQUEL to the rest of the games and it is 4x times BIGGER than Fallout 4! And it looks SO much greener than the previous incarnations. And it is about not just surviving in this post-apocalyptic wasteland but making it better and taking it back for humanity.
The next game is a Square Enix game and it takes place in the Life is Strange universe about a small boy who lives in an universe of his own design. It’s called The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. After that it is Crackdown 3 which has been a LONG TIME coming! Voiced by Terry Crews it shows off the destruction in this game as well as the various weapons you can use as well as vehicles including a tank! This looks like one of the games that was worth waiting for! We are also getting an XBox One updated Nier: Automata as well and it looks great on this console.
Metro Exodus is up next and this game looks even more amazing since the teaser trailer we got last year. Coming from the underground it shows off tons of environments above ground as well as below not to mention the various weapons and upgrades you can have for each weapon. But be careful as there are things lurking in this radioactive wasteland!
The next giant game was Kingdom Hearts 3 that showed off an ice level and of course Frozen including Elsa and Olaf! It shows off some great gameplay including stuff from Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Tangled and an amazing fire lion attack from Simba! Good GOD I can’t wait to play this game! This could be the most amazing entry in the series to DATE!
Next they showed off Sea of Thieves and what is going to be coming out for it. The forsaken shores as skeleton ships will prowl the waves. So we are getting cursed sails and forsaken shores as well for this game. The next teaser we got was for Battlefield V and it looks amazing!
For all the gear heads out there the next game announced was Forza Horizon 4 and it looks REALLY impressive as you will drive on a variety of surfaces and areas. The game is set in historical Britain and you will play with the entire community! The game will take place on and off roads as not only you will play on these roads but in different seasons as well! I am not much for racing games however, I REALLY want to play this!
The Initiative was the first studio joining Microsoft Studios along with Undead Labs (State of Decay 2) as well as Playground Games, Ninja Theory and Compulsion Games! For those that don’t know who they are they are the studio that is behind the iconic game We Happy Few which is going to be released in two months (August 10, 2018). Next we got a few new maps, modes and weapons announced for Player Unknown Battlegrounds and that looks great as well! Another remaster is Tales from Vesperia which looks more like an anime than a RPG as this definitive edition has tons of content.
The teaser for Division 2 was next and that game looks amazing. It will be taking place in Washington DC and I thought that was it. However, it is not the end as we have gameplay from the game as well! The game is set in either a museum or mall as they take on a quest to help a boy to help him get his meds. As we see a downed Air Force one and they use new equipment to take down the enemy. However, the enemy has a few new tricks including a grenade that sticks you to a spot. I played the first Division and I have to say this looks 10000x better than the original and I cannot wait to play it.
Xbox Game Pass was talked about and you can play over 100 games for one low price. This subscription service has an amazing library. They also announced Fast Start which will allow you start the games faster and it will start on certain titles later this month! Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Forza Horizon 4 and Crackdown 3 will also be available at the same time they are released! The division, Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls online tamriel edition will be available TODAY in Xbox Game Pass!! If you have an Xbox One you need to get one!
But we are not done yet folks. The next game is from Eidos and it turns out to be a new Tomb Raider game that puts you in some insane events! From surviving a flooded city to exploring deep in the jungle all will be revealed in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. After that we had saw a trailer for the latest skateboarding game called Session. Black Desert is also coming to the Xbox One as well. After that was a trailer from Capcom and that is the a new Devil May Cry! As the character will not only have swords and guns but a mechanical arm that can lay waste to an army of gruesome demons! All will be revealed in Devil May Cry 5 and we are getting DLC for Cuphead in Cuphead the Delicious Last Course! Tunic also looks great and is about a tiny fox set in a fantasy world that looks and feels like Zelda!
The next game that dropped is from Bandai Namco and looks to have anime characters fighting from various licenses such as Dragonball Z, Naruto and One Piece as this is Jump Force! The next game is a game set in a harsh world where people are fighting to survive. The choices you make in the game impact the world in Dying Light 2! And that isn’t just how it looks but how the game plays and the world itself. Will you have a free market or a new world order? This is all up to you in this new game. Battletoads was also briefly announced as it is debuting in 2019.
And the hits keep on coming with a new Just Cause game that looks more insane than its predecessors! Drive, fly, shoot and even get caught up in a tornado in Just Cause 4! We got not one but TWO Gears of War games which are Gears Tactics and Gears Pop (based on the Funko Pop series) However, they also dropped that Gears of War 5 is being worked on and showed some footage from this new entry in the franchise!
That was the last game in the coverage! Until the stage was taken over and we got a REVEAL trailer for Cyberpunk 2077!!! HOLY CRAP FOLKS! I played the original pen and paper game and I have to say that I am REALLY geeking hard right now! From the original reveal of Night City and the reveal of what you can be from rigger to solo to nomad! Yes, folks this is a game that EVERYONE should be chomping at the bit to play! BTW NCPD is Night City Police Department and I hope that’s something you can join up in.
