Think back to a time when you were a little kid and you lived in a big house with your family. Imagine the times when you woke up in the dead of night because you heard something outside your door. A scrape of something along the floor or a tap at your window and in the back of your mind you dismiss it. You think there’s no such thing as monsters.
Now imagine that you were in a house where things are happening and it affects your past, present and future.
This seems to be the setting of the latest series called The Haunting of Hill House. It focuses on a family who has moved into this giant house and as the mother comes to tuck her children into bed they start worrying. They ask if they were having a bad dream and start to say things that kids should not know such as using poison to the point where their blood becomes poison. Or to the fact where your heart was cleaved in two and you could never be happy.
The trailer has a lot of very creepy imagery and it is all centered around this giant house. Now mind you I am a huge fan of horror and this trailer just appeared out of nowhere like a phantom and has faded back into the shadows just as quickly.
And the cast looks amazing with such stars as Carla Gugino (who has been in San Andreas as well as Gerald’s Game) and Michiel Huisman (famous for appearing in Game of Thrones).
The Haunting of Hill House will premiere on Netflix on October 12th which is right on time to get people in the mood for Halloween. But what do you think about this new series? Are you going to check it out or just give it a pass? Let us know as we love to hear from you!
