The New Doctor Who Christmas Special, The Return Of Doctor Mysterio, in Cinemas for Two Nights Only December 26 & 28
Toronto, ON, (TSX: CGX), November 24, 2016 – Cineplex Events invites Canadians to get into the holiday spirit by announcing holiday-themed family programming as well as special music and stage performances this festive season.
As part of the celebrations, BBC Worldwide North America and Cineplex Events will treat fans to the Doctor Who Christmas Special, The Return of Doctor Mysterio, in theatres for two nights only on December 26 and 28. This special cinema event will feature the full 60-minute special plus two exciting bonus programs, The Doctor: A New Kind of Hero, which asks the question what exactly is it about the Doctor that makes him so heroic, and Doctor Who Extra: The Return of Doctor Mysterio, looking back at the making of this thrilling new special, both featuring appearances by stars Peter Capaldi and Matt Lucas, showrunner Steven Moffat, and many more.
Since its launch in 1963, Doctor Who has become one of the world’s best-loved dramas and is certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most successful sci-fi series ever. Doctor Who is the most-watched series on Space and has received numerous awards across its 53 years.
