LEGENDARY COMIC CREATOR GARTH ENNIS TO RELEASE DELUXE DIRECTOR’S CUT OF MARJORIE FINNEGAN, TEMPORAL CRIMINAL WITH AWA KICKSTARTER

LOS ANGELES, CA – JANUARY 23, 2024, Artists, Writers, and Artisans (AWA), the independent developer of bold, original stories from the world’s most outstanding artists, writers, and artisans, announced today the upcoming Kickstarter campaign giving Garth Ennis fans new ways to celebrate, collect and support the epic time travel heist series, MARJORIE FINNEGAN, TEMPORAL CRIMINAL, via a deluxe director’s cut edition of the fan-favorite series. Penned by National Comics and two-time Eisner award-winning writer Garth Ennis (PREACHER, THE BOYS) with art by Goran Sudžuka (Y: THE LAST MAN, HELLBLAZER: LADY CONSTANTINE) and new wraparound cover art by Amanda Conner (HARLEY QUINN), the Kickstarter exclusive will take readers along for a wild ride in a beautifully crafted collector’s edition of the original series, now with a brand-new 20-page issue of this sci-fi story with time travel elements and a range of new and back matter.

Through Kickstarter, AWA is giving fans the opportunity to support its most ambitious limited-edition projects. This new issue of MARJORIE FINNEGAN will be a Kickstarter exclusive and include premium, tiered rewards for Garth Ennis’ biggest fans, including the incredible opportunity to be drawn into a Garth Ennis comic book. MARJORIE FINNEGAN, TEMPORAL CRIMINAL debuted as a heralded eight-issue comic series in 2021. The series reunited the Eisner Award-winning creator with AWA Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer Axel Alonso, who edited the graphic novel. The duo has a longstanding history of close collaboration, having worked together on past iconic projects including PREACHER at Vertigo and THE PUNISHER at Marvel.
In November 2022, AWA Studios announced it has joined forces with LuckyChap and filmmaker Ruben Fleischer for the event feature film adaptation of the MARJORIE FINNEGAN, TEMPORAL CRIMINAL graphic novel. AWA Studios is producing the project alongside LuckyChap and Camp Hobart, with celebrated screenwriter and playwright Catya McMullen penning the adaptation. Garth Ennis and Ken F. Levin will executive produce the action-comedy-thriller film project.
This marks AWA’s second Kickstarter project, following Frank Cho’s (X-MEN, HARLEY QUINN) successful FIGHT GIRLS – DELUXE DIRECTOR’S CUT EDITION, which surpassed its initial funding goal in just nine hours.
