*Warning: Recap Contains Spoilers

In the first season of Santa Clarita Diet we saw Sheila and Joel go through a traumatic situation as Sheila had a life changing event.

She died. But she is not dead. And to make matters worse she has a desire to eat human flesh.

At the end of Season 1 we saw Joel trying to get the bile from principal Novak’s grandmother and getting carted off to the asylum for his trouble. We also saw Sheila getting chained up in the basement by Abby as she does not want to hurt anyone else ever again. However, we are still hoping for a cure for this disease and more answers on what Sheila is going through.

Now before I get into this season recap I am going to say that there are some spoilers but they are minor ones at best. I am going to leave out the major spoilers so you can experience them for yourself.

The season starts off with Joel in the asylum however, he manages to convince the people holding him there that he is not insane. As he is released we switch over to Abby as she might have found someone with the bile that they need to complete this serum. Finding the person and going to his house she collects the bile and heads for home but will this be enough to go ahead with a serum that will cure Sheila?

Throughout the rest of the season there are hints that there are more people like Sheila in Santa Clarita, glimpses of people who are on their trail and even a link to what caused the outbreak in the first place. However, there is also a character that comes back at least part of him and I have to say that this was a shock and a surprise. Also something threatens Joel and Sheila and they might have to move away from Santa Clarita altogether! What are some of these great scenes? Tune into this season to find out!

Once you get to the end of the show you are left wondering how things are going to progress from here on out and when is Season 3 going to drop! Santa Clarita Diet was a delight to watch as each episode is under 30 minutes which makes this show definitely binge watching material.

If you haven’t checked out Santa Clarita Diet yet I highly recommend that you do so. It is a mixture of horror and comedy and has some of the best one liners I have heard in a sitcom.
