The world has been plunged into a new ice age as people are scrounging for resources that were once plentiful and readily available. Along with this new ice age came a new form of disease that infected the local wildlife but did not kill them. Instead this disease warped their bodies creating monstrous creatures that would kill a man without hesitation. This is the world of Scavengers a new game that is going to be released from Midwinter Entertainment.
What Scavengers is going to be is a PvE first person shooter game that is also a competition. You are thrust into this world with your team as you try to find the resources that you need and to get back safely. However, some of your teammates may have other ideas as they might want to steal the glory for themselves. One of the biggest draws to this game has to be how the developers are using Spatial OS to develop this property. What this means is instead of everything being crammed into one server, Spatial OS will use multiple servers to blanket their game world as well as the enemy controlled AI units. What does this mean? Simply put it might result in smarter AI giving the players a challenge as they play the game. And having to face an AI that is intent on murdering you along with players that want the same will present a challenge for those trying to play Scavengers.
If this studio doesn’t sound familiar to you don’t worry as this is the first game they are working on. However, this is not the only game they have worked on as their team have been involved with some of the most iconic games on PC and consoles. The list includes such great titles as Call of Duty WWII, Halo 5 Guardians and Star Wars Battlefront II.
