If time travel were possible, fans of Disney’s Star Wars franchise would be on cloud nine this morning. After the studio released the official trailer for this December’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story last night anticipation for the prequel to 1977’s A New Hope shot past distant Tatooine.
The trailer sheds a little bit more light on the rag tag rebellion and their mission to gain information on how to destroy the Empire’s new weapon, the Death Star. Stunning visuals, an interesting new cast of characters and in the final few frames, a glimpse of Darth Vader – yes Darth Vader – raises already high expectations that Rogue One will be one of the strongest entries in the franchise.
With four months to wait until Rogue One hits theaters time travel may not be a bad idea at all.
