For all of the doom and gloom surrounding DC and Warner Bros.’ cinematic efforts after the release of Batman v Superman, events at the recently concluded San Diego Comic Con seems to have set things right. While all may not be forgiven, fan reaction after the release of two new trailers for Wonder Woman and Justice League indicate the studio may have learned from it’s previous missteps. Also released this weekend were first looks at the upcoming seasons of The Flash, Arrow, Gotham and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Wonder Woman

Gal Gadot continues to shine as the Amazon Princess and this time around she’s joined by Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. The trailer features loads of action, some humor and a glimpse of Wonder Woman’s perspective on a male dominated society.

Justice League

The Justice League footage is a first look at Zach Snyder’s upcoming superhero epic. It features Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) assembling a team of heroes to combat and enemy that is “coming from far away”. Batman’s crew consists of Wonder Woman, Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). The special footage boasts some impressive visuals and a decidedly lighter tone than either Batman v Superman or Man of Steel.

Suicide Squad

The latest trailer from the highly anticipated Suicide Squad debuted featuring new scenes (including more of Jared Leto’s Joker and a quick shot of Batman) and a few tunes from the film’s soundtrack. Judging by the trailers released over the weekend the DC movies moving forward will be injected with a lot more humor. If Suicide Squad can deliver on what the trailers have been teasing then it will be a critical and commercial success.

The Flash (Season 3 Trailer)

Not to be outdone by their big screen cousins, a trailer for season 3 of The Flash also debuted at Comic-Con. With the timeline being reset by Barry at the conclusion of Season 2, fans can look forward to the “Flashpoint” storyline form the comics making its way to the small screen.

Green Arrow

Still reeling from Laurel’s death, Oliver searches for answers and a sense of purpose. That purpose comes in the form of a new team and Oliver’s new role as teacher. With an unlikely band of misfits under his tutelage, Oliver must keep the city safe from a new threat. One that looks ominously familiar.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow

The Time Masters are gone leaving history unguarded and now its up to the new team of Legends to protect the time stream. Joining the fun is Rex Tyler (Patrick J. Adams) of the Justice Society as the Legends travel through time and run into all sorts of baddies including the Nazis and Damien Dahrk. According to reports look for more members of the Justice Society to show up as well as a future version of the Legion of Doom.

Gotham

As if last season’s trials and tribulations weren’t enough punishment for Jim Gordon, by the looks of the trailer to Season 3 things are about to get worse. Dr. Hugo Strange appears to be doing his best to elevate Batman’s future rogue’s gallery into one of the fiercest collections of criminals anywhere on television. While it’s been a slow burn watching Penguin, The Riddler and the others become the characters we know and love, Season 3 promises to take them even closer to their comic book counterparts.

Lucifer

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and it appears that Season 2 of Lucifer will be exploring that when the series returns this fall. After a short return to hell last season, Lucifer discovers that someone has escaped hell and is now on Earth. That ‘someone’ in particular is none other than his dear old mom.

And last but not least The CW released this promo trailer welcoming Supergirl to the network.
