Final Fantasy XII Coming around In HD
Every game is gaining an HD remake, from Kingdom Hearts, to Batman Arkham Asylum, and now even Final Fantasy XII.
Though a little rebranding is being done for the remastered game, Square Enix is calling the re-drop of their previous title Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age.
Here’s the new trailer:
The original release of FFXII was for the PS2 back in 2006, and the game was met with a good round of success despite its rather dull storyline. This was due in part to its fun fight system, and rather extensive world. However, it was also due to its very likeable characters and the ability to customize the in game fighting to a degree not often seen in Final Fantasy games.
Besides a newly rendered graphic system, and cleaned up character models, the game also features a new auto-save feature and shorter load times. The soundtrack for the game was re-recorded, though no changes to the actual tracks were made.
Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age will be released on the PS4 sometime in 2017 for Japanese gamers, and hopefully soon after for the rest of the world.
