Saint Rows Game Let Loose for Free
Author: S.A.

Very rarely is the gaming world hit with a ‘pleasant surprise’. That’s not to say there aren’t good moments for us, like when we hear the news of an upcoming title that we’ve been waiting on for years. Or we find to our pleasure that a new purchase has moved itself into the memorable games category of our shelves. However, these are things we often can see coming due to press releases and trailers about video games long in advance of the actual product dropping. So no genuine surprises really happen.

In fact, what we tend to deal with happens to be general disappointment in terms of the gaming world. We see titles dropped after they have been promised, or companies fall apart due to internal strife and poor advertising. So as a gamer I’d like to say when a company does something nice for the community, we should stand up and take notice. In this case, let us give a round of applause for the developers at Volition, the creators of the Saint Rows series deserve some praise. For they have brought back the dead in a way most gaming companies never consider.

Last night the developers of Saints Row revealed a game they had cancelled sometime ago from there line up, and then proceeded to release it to the world…for free.

Come again?

The game was meant to be released for the PSP sometime ago, but Saints Row Undercover was cancelled due to it falling short of programming expectations. That said, the company seems to have found it again on their dusty shelves and decided that it was time to release it into the wild. The game can be acquired over at Unseen64. To play the free grab you need either a PSP emulator or a modded PSP, and let us not forget it’s filled with glitches due to it’s prototype nature. However let it not detract from the fact that the company was under no obligations to release this game to gamers anywhere, and yet they did. So if your a fan of the Saints Row series go pick it up folks,, and give it a spin.

Can you imagine it guys? A world in which all prototype games were release out to us? It be…amazing.
