2016 Huge Year For PS4 Gaming
Author: S.A.
It’s finally one of those years again folks, the type of year where you pull out the big bag of chips, crack your knuckles, and settle in for one heck of a gaming experience. The PlayStation 4 is bringing quite the storm this year, with a rush of upcoming games, and it’s own VR system coming into play. With that in mind, 2016 is promising to keep gamers reaching for their wallet all year round. Even PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida is claiming with confidence that this is going to be a banner year for the PS4, and something that Sony will be able to stand behind with some pride. You won’t be able to be a fence sitter after this, claims Yoshida, you’ll be forced to buy the system and think to yourself “It’s good to have a PS4.”
Some of the notable titles that are going to be released, but hardly all, lay in the console exclusives. These titles range from games like Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Street Fighter V, and The Last Guardian. These are the heavy hitters for the PS4 2016 fiscal year, but definitely won’t be the only ones coming to bat for the company. With a wide range of big name multi—platform games also coming to us, Sony has a plethora of options coming our way.
Steady your heart young gamer, everything will be alright.
If those titles weren’t enough to get your panties in a bunch, I suggest you check out some of the upcoming titles here at GameSpot. There is more than a few that have me grinning from ear to ear like a kid in a candy store. The variety alone ensures that all gamers are covered and will be able to enjoy their PS4 to the fullest.
This change in pace is a welcome one for PS4 gamers who had a rather sparse gaming year in 2015. In fact, earlier in the month of December, PlayStation boss Michael Ephriam acknowledged that they had a rather weak year. He stated that Sony concentrated on third party relationships to fix that, and here come the results.
It’s easy to see how this is going to be a killer year for Sony Entertainment, with them already having sold over 30 million units, their gaming numbers have no where to go but up.
