Is Nintendo Finally Stepping Into The Sun?

There are always wild rumours circulating in the gaming world. Its a constant struggle to figure out fact from fiction. However one particular rumour has managed to snag my ear with quivering interest. That being the talk that Nintendo is releasing a console that will finally be on par with systems like the PS4 and Xbox One. In fact, some of the rumours hint that Nintendo’s NX console might be even better than the competition.
By the power of grey skull, can it be true?
Hints to these new design features began when The Wall Street Journal confirmed that third party companies have finally received the NX development kits. These kits are meant to grant individuals the ability to modify existing games, or create all new ones, for the upcoming console. After all, Nintendo likes to play ball right when a system drops and have titles ready right out the gate. That said, we’ve been told by unconfirmed sources that “industry leading chips” are making the new console tick.
What does that mean?
It means that reportedly several developers have seen a demo or two that were impossible to run without a top tier computer. If this is the case, it’s a far cry from the Nintendo of old that I could run on my old computer with hardly a worry.
Nintendo is Aiming Right For the Top.
If that isn’t enough to wet our palette, apparently there’s a handheld element to this as well. However, we do not know if the device works like the Wii U GamePad. That is to say, in the company of it’s host system, and as such the Wii U’s biggest downfall.
We won’t know anything until next year, but I am hopeful for Nintedo’s rise to power. After all, I was a kid who grew up with heavy selling systems much like the N64, and Super Nintedo. That said, the little child in me is hoping for a new day in the sun for Nintendo.
