TellTale Comes Out Swinging

Telltale came out swinging during this years Game Awards and announced two upcoming titles of note. The first featuring one of DC’s most iconic characters, Batman. There is no game footage available so far for the upcoming hero fest, but it’s sure to be as engaging as all TellTale games prove to be, and likely something I’ll buy right on it’s release date.
Telltale had this to say about their upcoming foray into the DC world: “At Telltale, we’ve been honored to bring our unique approach to interactive storytelling to some of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be exploring what it means to be Batman in an all-new series starting next year,” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games. “This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.”
Warner brothers has nothing but support for the upcoming title, and was quoted stating: “Telltale has an established track record of creating award-winning content for some of the best properties in the world,” said David Haddad, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “We look forward to working with the team as they deliver a new interactive way for fans and gamers to experience the rich narrative world of Batman.”
The other upcoming title features a fan favourite from the hit TV series, The Walking Dead, Michonne. We have actual in game footage for this one, and boy does it look like fun. This game seemingly takes place before Michonne meets up with Rick’s group and has our favourite samurai zombie slayer alone and against the horde. This game will hopefully give us insight into how Michonne became this unstoppable zombie killing machine, and into how she’s survived as long as she has. That said, with two other successful endeavours into the zombie world under TellTales belt, this game is sure to be just as successful as it’s predecessors.
The official release dates for both are still somewhere up in the air, but they’re slotted to be released sometime in 2016. So get ready for quick choices guys and gals, I’m sure were in for another heart clenching ride with these two releases.
