An upcoming survival cooperative game on kick starter, that goes by the name The Wild Eight, has finally dropped a teaser trailer. That said, it follows the norm of reveal trailers and doesn’t really give anything away in regards to game mechanics. However, the basic plot is as follows: A plane has crashed somewhere in Alaska, and a handful of survivors have made their way out of the wreckage. They must find a way to work together and survive in the wild of the Alaskan outback.
As mentioned before, not much is revealed about the game so far. The Wild Eight website does mention that players will have to develop some normal survival skills such as: shelter building and hunting. The freezing temperature at night will affect players as well, and night terrors in the form of mutated wolves will be out to plague gamers on the regular.
The development team had this to say about their upcoming game: “”Survive and explore the forest with other players. It’s the right way to stand against this harsh world… until a madman appears in your group who wishes to grab the catch.””
What the catch is still remains a mystery. That said, it clearly hints that trusting your friends to much in this game might be something that isn’t in your best interest.
