Four Games That Will Make History This Year
Author: S.A.
It’s looking to be like one of those rare gaming years, where everything we wish for will come true. That is to say that games with depth, games with great game play style, and even games with explosions will be hitting the shelves. Now normally many games could meet any one of these three criteria and make their way into our hard and cold gaming heart. However it takes a select breed to combine all three and forever go down as a game you could never willingly part with.
In this case, here are the four games that are beginning to shape up as ones that will steal the show:
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s end is an action adventure game, and the fourth instalment in a beloved fan favourite made by Naughty Dog entertainment. The game features the beloved fortune hunter Nathan Drake on yet another whirl wind adventure that will pit him against odds that are likely stacked against him and cause him to make choices that will have fan’s clenching their heart in worry. His adventures have proven time and time again to be well thought out and fun, bringing gamers to the screen to not only watch it play out but also to pray every loveable character can survive the ordeal.
Final Fantasy XV
Final Fantasy XV is like any other game in the series, and truly needs no introduction due to its lineage of gaming. The decision to change it’s style of play into something more combative than a regular turn based game as per its predecessors is endearing and will likely earn the game many awards. If your looking for a game to invest hours of gameplay into, in terms of an RPG, this one is likely to be up their in the top three of this years game releases.
No Man’s Sky
No Man’s Sky is a game that concentrates on exploring the stars, and has players situated in the cockpit of their interglatic spaceship. Through flying around we will encounter various dangers that only space travel can offer us, from dog fights, to on world attacks, and even supply run ambushes. In truth, No Man’s sky is looking to be the first true space adventure game of it’s kind and is something that is sure to be the bench mark for all future endeavours.
Horizon Zero Dawn
Horizon Zero Dawn is an upcoming action role playing game that has been developed by Guerrilla Games. The game itself has a very ‘Last of Us‘ type vibe to it’s trailer and has me itching to get my hand on my own copy of the game to see if my hypothesis is correct. The coolest thing about the game has to be the fact that it is set in a post apocalyptic land that is ruled by robotic dinosaurs that we have to hunt and kill on our own. Zero Dawn appears beautifully rendered, and will likely have many of us wasting hours crushing our way through the games storyline.
These four games are all slotted to come out sometime this year, and will be sitting on my shelf the day of their releases. In an attempt to further your own gaming joy I believe you should join me in these purchases dear reader, as these games will likely be the best of 2016.
